Albert Bennett Spokane

Rosary for Albert E. Bennett will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.

Mr. Bennett, 87, died Thursday.

He was born in Dupree, S.D., and his family moved to Spokane when he was 6 years old.

Mr. Bennett worked for Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern railroads for more than 40 years. He was promoted to locomotive engineer in 1944 and retired in 1976.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include a son, Bill Bennett of Spokane; two brothers, Les Bennett of Spokane and Don Bennett of Ketchum, Idaho; and a sister, Elsie Schoenburger of Spokane.

Brad Hein Spokane

Memorial service for Brad A. Hein, 27, was Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Family graveside service was at the Spring Creek Cemetery in Reardan, Wash.

Mr. Hein, who was born in Spokane, died Tuesday from complications related to diabetes.

He graduated in 1990 from Reardan High School.

Mr. Hein had recently moved back to Spokane and had been working as a cosmetologist.

He was a council member at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his parents, Paul and Bertie Hein of Reardan; three brothers, Mark Hein of Spokane, Bryce Hein of Kirkland, Wash., and John Hein of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and two sisters, Kristal Albrecht of Colville, Wash., and Aimee Hein of Yakima.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Esther Devlin Spokane

Memorial service for Esther Mary Devlin, 98, will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Plains, Pa., Miss Devlin died Dec. 15.

Her family moved to Spokane in 1909. She was a Comptometer operator for more than 50 years and worked for Marshall Wells Hardware and Jensen-Byrd Wholesale Hardware.

Miss Devlin was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include several nephews and nieces, Edward English, Frances Lenoue and Rosemary Bippes, all of Spokane, James English of Coeur d’Alene, Mary St.John of East Wenatchee, Jack Haritgan and Judy Dorris, both of Bellevue, Wash., Sondra Burr and Ed Chambers, both of Beaverton, Ore., and Margaret Charpentier of Westminster, Calif.

Grace McIntyre Quilcene, Wash.

No service will be held for Grace E. McIntyre, 88, at her request. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Kosec Funeral Home in Port Townsend, Wash., is in charge of arrangements Mrs. McIntyre, a former 43-year Cheney resident, died Jan. 24. She was born in Wenatchee.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Women’s Relief Corps and Daughters of Union Veterans.

She moved to Quilcene 1-1/2 years ago.

Her husband, Wilbur, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon McIntyre of Spokane and Michael McIntyre of Brinnon, Wash.; a daughter, Marilyn Savage of Priest Lake, Idaho; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
