Band Room At Central Valley Loses Electronic Items
Electronic equipment was stolen from the Central Valley High School band room last weekend.
Kent Meredith, the Central Valley band director, came to school Monday morning and found the window to his office broken and the electronic equipment missing.
A minidisc player, mixing board, CD writer/recorder, CDs and minidiscs - valued at more than $1,000 - were stolen.
The items are believed to have been taken out the broken window sometime late Saturday or early Sunday, Meredith said.
CV band boosters had purchased the equipment for the school less than a month ago.
Band instruments were in a separate locked room and none are believed to be missing, Meredith said.
The Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
