Hosts Needed For Mcdonald House

The Ronald McDonald House needs volunteers to work as hosts for families staying at the facility.

Julie LeFriec, volunteer coordinator, said the position requires four hours of work twice a month.

The host or hostess is responsible for registering guests, answering the telephone, preparing rooms and visiting with family members.

The Ronald McDonald House, 1015 W. Fifth, provides low-cost lodging for family members staying in Spokane to be with children in one of the city’s hospitals.

“We provide a home away from home for families,” said LeFriec. “It’s a great group of people to work with.”

The house operates largely on the work of 60 volunteers. New volunteer jobs are normally filled quickly, LeFriec said.
