Scientists Want Bid For Delay Denied

From Staff

Anthropologists suing for the chance to study Kennewick Man have urged a federal magistrate to deny the government’s request for six additional months to conduct genetic testing.

Magistrate John Jelderks set a March 24 deadline for the Department of the Interior to say whether the scientists will be allowed to examine the remains.

The Interior Department said last month that it wanted a six-month extension to conduct DNA testing.
