Ex-Beauty Queen Pleads Guilty
A former Miss Washington who pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution was sentenced Friday to 10 days in jail, well under the standard sentence of four to 12 months in jail.
Rose Williams, 60, also must submit to 50 days of home electronic monitoring. She pleaded guilty last month to the prostitution charge and money laundering.
She was charged as a result of a December 1998 raid on two houses in Seattle and Kenmore. Undercover detectives accused her of operating an escort service as a front for prostitution.
Williams competed for the Miss USA title in 1958.
