Virginia Tech will be the host team for the Black Coaches Association Classic football game helps kick off the 2000 season. An opponent for the Hokies will be determined at a later date. The game will be held either Aug. 26 or 27 at Lane Stadium.

Former Oklahoma coach Gary Gibbs became Georgia’s third defensive coordinator in as many years, taking the post when Kevin Ramsey was demoted after only one season.
