Mccain Plans Stop Next Week At Gonzaga
Republican presidential candidate John McCain will hold a town hall meeting next Wednesday morning at Gonzaga University.
The Arizona senator will be in Spokane, Seattle and Bremerton six days before the Washington presidential primary on Feb. 29 and 13 days before the state parties’ precinct caucuses on March 7.
The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Spokane Room of the COG dining hall.
Brendan Hill, the campaign’s Spokane spokesman, said the room holds 400 to 500 people, and seats will be available on a first-come basis.

McCain’s visit is one of three scheduled by a presidential campaign during the week before the primary.
On Monday, Tipper Gore, wife of Vice President Al Gore, will attend a fund-raising breakfast at 8 a.m. at Cavanaughs Ridpath Hotel. Tickets for the $30 breakfast are available by calling 324-8525.
On Feb. 25, Laura Bush, wife of Texas Gov. George Bush, will attend a fund-raising lunch at the downtown Doubletree Hotel. Tickets for the $20 luncheon are available by calling 328-0328.
