The victim told police he was riding his bike home from a friend’s house near Ash and Northwest Boulevard. He said the man walked up and asked him to sell his bike. When the boy declined, the man grabbed the bike, punched the boy in the forehead and rode off, Cottam said.

Arrest made in North Hogan incident
Spokane police arrested the man suspected of assaulting a woman and two children on North Hogan last month.
Kenny Ray Stallworth was wanted on a four-count warrant. Officers spotted him Feb. 7 at about 5 p.m. on the front porch of an apartment at 628 S. Maple.
Officers approached the house, identifying themselves as police, and Stallworth ran back into the house, Cottam said. Backup officers responded to the area and, for a time, police closed off one block of Seventh Avenue. They had information Stallworth was armed, Cottam said.
Stallworth crawled into the attic of the house, then climbed out a window onto the roof. He then climbed down and surrendered to police without further resistance, Cottam said.
Police found a 9 mm handgun, a rifle and boxes of ammunition and magazines for the handgun in the attic where Stallworth had allegedly hidden them, Cottam said.
The District Court warrant lists three first-degree assault charges and one first-degree burglary count.
