Robber Locks Pizza Workers In With Dough

The employees of a Spokane Valley Pizza Hut at 323 N. Sullivan were locked in a dough-rising room by a gun-wielding robber on Friday morning, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

The robber, armed with a 6-inch, silver-colored revolver, forced the crew at gunpoint into the room, took some of their personal valuables and then waited for the store manager to arrive.

He then robbed the manager, took some cash from the store and fled.

None of the employees saw the man enter or leave the store. However, a bicycle was seen parked at the back of the store as the manager arrived for work. It was gone after the robbery, but it’s unknown if it was used by the suspect.

The robber is described as a white male, 19 or 20 years old with a stubbly beard. He wore a light-colored coat and a dark hat, witnesses told deputies.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
