Ronald Sanders Spokane

Service for Ronald D. Sanders, 64, was Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial followed at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Born in Spokane, Mr. Sanders died Wednesday.

He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in engineering, and served in the Air Force.

He was a 32-year Spokane resident and worked as a commercial industrial representative at Washington Water Power.

He was a member of the North Central War Memorial Plaque Committee Alumni Association at WSU and the Hillyard Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marilyn; his mother, Lillian Sanders of Spokane; a brother, David Sanders of Seattle; and two sisters, Christine Back of Spokane and Kathy Zimmer of Medical Lake.

Michael Boggan Spokane

Visitation for Michael W. Boggan, 40, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Boggan, who was born in Rapid City, S.D., died Wednesday.

He had been a Spokane resident for more than 20 years and was a self-employed painter.

Survivors include a son, Michael Boggan of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Amanda Hulse of Arizona; his parents, William and Evelyn Boggan of Spokane; three brothers, Don, Jerry and William Boggan Jr., all of Spokane; four sisters, Nancy and Mary Boggan, and Susan Honeycutt, all of Spokane, and Georgia Martin of Rupert, Idaho.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Center or Hospice of Spokane.

Marie Crampton Spokane

No service will be held for Elsie Marie (Hayes) Crampton, 64, at her request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in St. John, Wash., Mrs. Crampton died Wednesday.

She graduated from St. John High School.

In 1960 she married Norman Crampton.

Mrs. Crampton received a licensed practical nursing degree from Spokane Community College in 1973 and had worked as a licensed practical nurse for local hospitals.

She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bill Crampton of Modesto, Calif., and Leslie Crampton of Kent, Wash.; two daughters, Catherine Fielding of Deer Park and Lisa Courser of Kamloops, British Columbia; a brother, Ted Hayes of Seattle; a sister, Joanne Romo of Seattle; and four grandchildren.

Joe Acuff Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Joe R. Acuff, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.

Born in Rupert, Idaho, Mr. Acuff died Friday.

He grew up in the Rupert area and graduated from Minidoka High School in Rupert in 1932.

Mr. Acuff attended Idaho State University and then transferred to the University of Idaho, where he received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture in 1936. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi.

He taught at the University of Idaho agriculture department for one semester and then worked for the Department of Agriculture from 1937 until 1945.

In 1939 he married Lucile Faucett. They later lived in Coeur d’Alene, where he began working for Lake City Investment in 1945. Mr. Acuff obtained a real estate broker license in 1948 and opened Acuff Realty and Insurance with his wife in 1955.

He received his M.A.I. designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and operated the business until retiring and selling out to his son, Pat, in 1980.

His wife died in 1984.

Mr. Acuff married Dori Crimp in 1985, and they lived in Coeur d’Alene.

He was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Association of Realtors, which had named him Realtor of the Year. He also was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Rotary, Ducks Unlimited, the Elks Lodge and the Athletic Round Table. He served as chairman of the Idaho Real Estate Commission.

He was a past member of the Coeur d’Alene Lions Club, and served as the Commodore of the Diamond Cup Committee for the 1962 Coeur d’Alene hydroplane races. He was past president of the Idaho Association of Realtors and the Hayden Lake Country Club, and had served as chairman of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce and the North Idaho Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Acuff also was on the Planned Giving Committee of the Kootenai Medical Foundation.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Acuff of Edwall, Wash., and Pat Acuff of Coeur d’Alene; two stepsons, Douglas Crimp of New York City and Greg Crimp of Coeur d’Alene; a stepdaughter, Sandi Bloem of Coeur d’Alene; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
