Handguns, Marijuana Found At Party House

From Staff Reports

A Spokane Police officer found handguns and marijuana after searching a house where a teenage drinking party was being held Friday night.

The owner of the home on West Spofford gave the officer permission to conduct the search, police said.

Two males, 17 and 18, were found with three 40-ounce bottles of beer. A pair of handguns, and a bag, were found under a bed. Seven packets of marijuana were inside the bag, police said.

Police booked 18-year-old Jesse L. Thompson into jail on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol. The 17-year-old was placed in juvenile detention on the same charge.

Weapons charges may be filed later, police said.
