North Adams Home Damaged By Blaze

The Spokane Fire Department sent 23 firefighters to a blaze at 5108 N. Adams Friday afternoon.

The homeowner discovered the fire after checking on laundry drying in the basement. The fire started near the dryer.

There were no injuries reported, but a cat died in the blaze.

The laundry room was heavily damaged and smoke spread to other parts of the home.

The incident is under investigation.
