Gonzaga Prep Names Lilac Princess

The second of 13 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Monday night.

Rachael Aleya, a Gonzaga Prep senior, will represent her school. She is the daughter of Allen and Mari Aleya.

Aleya, 18, is the senior class president, a member of the Jazz Choir and a volunteer at Holy Family Hospital.

She plans to attend Willamette University and major in pre-med.

The next princess selection is for Rogers High School and will be held Wednesday.

One of the Lilac princesses will be named queen April 15 at Shadle.
