New faces:

LeMaster & Daniels PLLC, certified public accountants and business advisers, has added the following people to its general accounting and audit staff:

Vanessa Kubota earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Gonzaga University.

Jackie Thomson holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Gonzaga.

Marisol Holthaus received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University and a bachelor of science from Turabo University in Puerto Rico.

Steven Randall has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Washington State University.

Windermere Real Estate has hired the following people as sales associates:

Michelle Roskilly joined the company’s Spokane-Valley office. She previously worked for 16 years as an elementary teacher.

Britta Ravenscroft joined Windermere’s Colville office. Ravenscroft previously worked in management at the Colville Wal-Mart store.

Jeffrey Albright is based in Windermere’s Pullman office. He is new to real estate.

Moving up:

Bruce Randall, a law enforcement instructor for Spokane Community College, has been named interim dean of SCC’s technical education division, beginning winter quarter 2000. Randall has been a member of SCC’s faculty since 1986 and served as department chair for 10 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Eastern Washington University and a master’s degree in business administration from City University in Bellevue, Wash.

Starting up:

The management team of the recently-formed Aurora Consulting Group Inc. includes: Beth Britt was named president/chief executive officer. Britt, who has more than a decade of Internet and World Wide Web experience, previously was president and CEO of Aurora Development Group. She also teaches computer technologies at Eastern Washington University. Britt earned a PhD in computer science from Washington State University, as well as a master’s degree in computer science from Eastern and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rhodes College.

Jason W. Pegg was appointed director of development services at Aurora Consulting. He has more than 10 years of experience with network and system integration, including work with Internet, Intranet and Extranet development and server technologies. Pegg, formerly COO at Aurora Development, earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from Eastern.

Steven Trabun joined Aurora Consulting from WindStar Group as vice president of business development. He has 16 years of experience in technology services in positions ranging from software engineer to quality assurance, applications and systems support and applications engineer. Trabun received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Washington State University and an MBA from Gonzaga University.

Prezant Associates Inc., a 12-year-old Seattle-based health and safety firm, has named Seneca Peterson as manager of its new Spokane office. Prezant offers health and safety training, both open enrollment and custom, industrial hygiene consulting and a full asbestos, lead, and organics accredited laboratory. Peterson has worked on both the regulatory and consulting side of the environmental industry for the last 10 years, including five years in Spokane. Her background includes providing asbestos and lead consulting services, as well as hazardous materials project management. Prezant, which previously served Spokane from its Seattle operation, has opened an office in Suite 218 at 10 N. Post.

Mike Riddle of New York Life Insurance Co. has been awarded the chartered financial consultant professional designation. The ChFC program gives financial services professionals the broad knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive financial planning services to clients. The American College awards the designation to people who fulfill rigorous educational, experience and ethical requirements.

Spokane Cardiology’s vascular laboratory for the testing of carotid artery disease has been accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. Accreditation signifies that the facility has been reviewed by an independent agency that recognizes the laboratory’s commitment to quality testing for diagnosis of vascular disease. The ICAVL, a nonprofit organization established with the support of 10 medical societies, provides a mechanism for accrediting facilities that perform comprehensive testing for vascular disease.
