Council will discuss 2000 legislative agenda, among other business.

Spokane County commissioners

Tuesday, 9 a.m. briefing, county courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway

2 p.m. meeting for nonhearing items, public works building, 1026 W. Broadway

Among other matters on the 9 a.m. agenda, commissioners will discuss Inland Power & Light’s permit to increase the voltage carried by a power line on Pleasant Prairie. The 2 p.m. agenda includes a hearing about the proposed Blue Heron Estates subdivision.

Spokane Public Facilities District

Tuesday, 4 p.m., Spokane Arena, 720 W. Mallon

Among other matters, the board will discuss issues likely to come up during the upcoming state legislative session.

Spokane County parks advisory committee

Wednesday, 3:30 p.m., parks administration building, 404 N. Havana Among other issues, the committee will discuss the procedure for hiring a new parks director.

Spokane County commissioners/planning commission

Thursday, 11:30 a.m.

The luncheon meeting is to discuss the planning commission’s progress on the comprehensive land-use plan and other issues. For the location, call the county commissioners’ office (477-2265).
