Two Arrested After Meth, Bombs Found

Detectives arrested two people and seized two homemade bombs and a methamphetamine laboratory in Pend Oreille County on Monday, authorities said.

Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers raided a home at 123 Woodward Road in Diamond Lake about 10 a.m., according to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office.

They found the lab and the bombs inside the house, deputies said. A 9-month-old child also was at the home, deputies said.

Arrested were 20-year-old Heather Nelson and her husband, 22-year-old Lucas Nelson. Both were booked into the Pend Oreille County Jail on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine and possessing explosive devices.

Their child was placed in state custody.
