Panhandle Forests Office Closed For Now
The supervisor’s office of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests is temporarily closed.
A drainage line backup and stubborn mold and bacteria prompted the closure at 3815 Schreiber Way in Coeur d’Alene, officials say.
The building will be shut down until it is safe for employees and the public, according to Nonie Gleason, administrative officer. The closure also affects the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the North Idaho Forest Health and Protection unit. The office will reopen once the cleanup finishes, the agency says.
The Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District office, at 2502 East Sherman, will be open to the public for most business such as map sales and wood permits. Employees will work at alternate sites, and phone messages may be left at (208) 765-7223.
