Dinsmore Paces Lakeside

Sophomore Katie Dinsmore of Lakeside swept all four events to run away with the all-around title during Wednesday’s Greater Spokane League gymnastics meet at Rogers.

Dinsmore scored 9.0 or better in each event to finish with an all-around total of 36.45. The Eagles scored 166.35 as a team. Shadle Park freshman Jade Cummings was second in the all-around with a 34.5. She was runner-up in each event except the balance beam.

Lakeside (8-2) was 2-0 at the meet to remain in third place in the GSL, behind Central Valley (9-0) and Ferris (8-1). Shadle and Mead were both 2-1 at the meet.

Boys basketball

Kevin Quinn scored 10 of his 17 points during a third-quarter surge to guide Lake City to a 63-53 home-court win over Moscow in the Border League.

Brenda Robinson and Courtney Goetz had nine rebounds apiece to lead Moscow to its victory over visiting Lewiston in the Border League.
