Man, Sister Arrested In Assault
A Spokane man and his sister were arrested Saturday after an assault at a Valley apartment building.
Timothy M. Adams, 18, 119 S. Walnut, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Valley Hospital and Medical Center. Deputies believe he was involved in a stabbing at Keystone Apartments on the 12700 block of East Fourth Avenue.
Adams was being treated at Valley Hospital for a fractured right hand when arrested.
Adams’s sister, Tanya M. Garcia, 2011 N. Madison Road, was arrested for allegedly spitting on the deputy who was arresting her brother.
Deputies responded at 4 p.m. Saturday to a call at the Keystone Apartments after a 45-year-old male reported he had been stabbed with a scissors by Adams.
It is unknown how the victim and Adams knew each other.
When deputies arrived at the victim’s apartment, they reportedly found a bloody pool cue and scissors.
The victim was cut on the chin, chest and arms, according to deputies.
Based on an interview with the witness, deputies went to the hospital and arrested Adams.
He was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, both felonies, and was booked into the Spokane County Jail.
As deputies were taking him to a squad car, Garcia, who identified herself as Adams’s sister, allegedly began screaming obscenities at the deputies and spit at one of them.
She was arrested and booked for third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
