Ridnour’S 20 Points Highlight Ccs Rout

Heather Ridnour hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points Wednesday night, leading the Community Colleges of Spokane women’s basketball team to a 71-46 win at Yakima Valley.

The once-beaten Sasquatch broke a first-place tie with the Indians in the Eastern Division of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. A 53-33 rebounding edge was a major factor.

Amy George added 6-for-10 field-goal shooting and 12 rebounds for CCS. Karie Pruett added three of the team’s 11 3-pointers.

Travis Liermann and David Sandberg had pins during North Idaho College’s 43-0 win over Yakima Valley Community College in Coeur d’Alene.

Liermann (165 pounds) led Terry Keys 9-1 before a second-period pin. Sandberg (197) pinned John Williams at 2:56 after leading 11-2.
