King Holiday Closures Planned

From Staff Reports

Some businesses and government offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday:

Schools: Most public schools will be closed.

Banks: Most branches will be closed, but some satellite branches in grocery stores and other locations will remain open.

Mail: No delivery.

Government offices: Federal, state, county and city offices will be closed.

Libraries: Spokane city libraries will be closed. County libraries will be open.

Parking meters: Parking will be free at meters.

Buses: Spokane Transit Authority service will be on its regular weekday schedule.

Garbage: Solid-waste haulers will be on their normal schedules.
