Cda Outfitter Offers Tours

A Coeur d’Alene outfitter, Sea Kayak Adventures, offers six-day guided paddling trips through the wilds of the Sea of Cortes.

Adventure-seekers, who don’t need kayaking experience, will paddle two-person kayaks through waters that are home to blue whales, dolphins and sea lions.

Tours begin and end at Loreto, Mexico, and depart weekly through April 30. Cost is $1,050 per person. Kayaks, paddling gear, camping supplies, meals and first and last night hotel in Loreto are included. Airfare is extra (current airfare to Los Angeles and on to Loreto is $480 per person roundtrip).

The company also offers an extra-day adventure to Magdalena Bay on Baja’s Pacific coast. Participants will get the chance to get close to gray whales in quiet lagoons and navigate mangrove-tangled shallows. Cost is $120 for bus and boat rides plus dinner.
