Two WSU Students Arrested In Theft
Two Washington State University students were arrested Monday for allegedly using credit cards stolen from a Pullman sorority.
Police arrested Mairut (Mimi) Chan and Patricia Lynne Scott, both 18 and from Tacoma, on second-degree felony theft charges. A third woman is under investigation.
Pullman police began investigating the case Dec. 5 when a member of a WSU sorority reported her wallet was taken during a tour of the house. The wallet was later found in a trash basket inside the house, but it was missing credit cards, a debit card, checks and $50 in cash.
The two suspects allegedly made $750 in purchases with the cards and checks at three Pullman and four Moscow businesses.
