Youth Accosted; 4 Implicated
A Spokane Valley teenager said four other boys threatened and tried to rob him Saturday.
The 15-year-old boy told deputies he was walking outside Theatre Arts for Children at the University City Shopping Center at 11:30 a.m. Saturday when four boys began spitting and throwing rocks at him.
The boys continued to follow him and threatened to beat him up. One of the boys grabbed his arm and demanded money, the victim told deputies.
The victim told the boys he had Mace and they let him go.
The victim went home and told his parents, who contacted deputies. Deputies observed five males matching the description provided by the victim near Sprague Avenue and Gillis Road. The victim identified three of the boys as being involved in the alleged harassment.
Deputies arrested an 11-year-old and two 14-year-olds. They were charged with attempted second-degree robbery. An arrest is pending on a 15-year-old boy also believed to have been involved.
