Kitra, a 9-year-old female white Bengal tiger, licks her chops as she gets accustomed to her new surroundings at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The zoo will be her home through April. White tigers have ice-blue eyes, a pink nose, snowy fur and chocolate-colored stripes. Their unusual coloration is passed to them from both parents via a recessive gene.
