Nobody has tripped up Coeur d’Alene’s girls basketball team for 10 weeks.

The Vikings won their 16th consecutive game Friday night and in the process clinched the Border League championship.

Katie Roetter hit 3 of 5 3-pointers and Whytnie Budvarson added 10 rebounds as the Vikings defeated visiting Sandpoint 59-31.

CdA’s lone loss was Nov. 13, against Capital of Boise.

CdA’s Shaylia Davis made 6 of 11 from the floor. The Vikings’ Dani Bielec added four steals.

Chelsey Thomas had three 3-pointers and seven rebounds to guide a 30-20 edge, and the visiting Eagles defeated the Timberwolves for the first time.

WV streaked to a 9-0 lead then hit 10 of 19 free throws in the fourth quarter.
