The Council will discuss a resolution on making Acting Police Chief Roger Bragdon permanent police chief, a resolution on creating a committee on the future of the Davenport Hotel and hold a hearing on a 90-foot cellular phone monopole to be erected on the South Hill. Note that the briefing session will be in the Council Chambers.

Spokane County Commission

Among other matters on the 2 p.m. agenda, commissioners are scheduled to decide whether to change the designation from “pastoral” to “urban” for a segment of the Spokane River shoreline. The decision will determine whether a developer can seek other approval needed to build stores within 200 feet of the river.

The commission will discuss amendments of the land use map of the Latah Creek Neighborhood Plan and of generalized Land Use Map. The commission will also listen to public testimony of the Spokane Club’s application to amend the Shoreline Master Program.
