‘Mercy Killing’ Suspect Posts Bail
John Fiedler, who is accused of playing a role in the October `mercy killing’ of a Mead man, posted bail Wednesday afternoon and was released from jail.
Fiedler had been held on $500,000 bail.
Earlier this week, Dianne Rhodes, whose husband Paul Rhodes was terminally ill with a tumor in his abdomen and died of a morphine overdose, posted $500,000 for her own release.
Rhodes, 49, and Fiedler, 21, were arrested last Friday on warrants of second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder in the death of Paul Rhodes.
A third person tied to the case, according to court papers, has not been arrested.
