Another year, 20 more wins.

Five players scored in double figures Saturday as Community Colleges of Spokane defeated Blue Mountain 87-47 at Spokane Falls, giving Bruce Johnson a 20-victory season for the 11th time in his 12 years as coach of the Sasquatch.

The Sasquatch (20-2, 6-1 NWAACC) got 12 points each from Amy George, Courtney Phinney and Heather Ridnour. Sara Harchuck and Bernice Stime scored 10 apiece. Karie Pruett added eight points and 10 assists.

Andrea Cutforth led the Timberwolves (10-12, 0-7) with 15 points.

Portland 64, Gonzaga 62

Tami Standish hit the game-winning jumper with 2 seconds remaining and scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Pilots over the Bulldogs at Portland.

Carmel Lampson hit 4 of 10 from 3-point distance on the way to a team-high 16 points for Gonzaga. Melanie Tipps added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Gonzaga led 60-56 with 2:22 remaining, but the Bulldogs’ only points in the final 2 minutes came on a layup by Kristin Deal that gave them a 62-60 lead.

Linda Weyler had 25 points, eight rebounds and three steals to lead the Grizzlies over the Eagles at Cheney.

Eastern Washington (7-11, 3-5 Big Sky) took a 35-33 lead early in the second half, but Montana (13-5, 6-1) scored 30 of the game’s final 37 points.

Julie Moore led EWU with 12 points, followed by Tracy Ford Phelps with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Whitworth 65, Willamette 62

Star Olson scored 26 points and Whitworth’s last five points came from the free-throw line as the Pirates held off the Bearcats at the Whitworth Fieldhouse.

Jamie Wakefield made 10 of 12 free throws and scored 12 points for the Pirates. Her 14 rebounds were the game high. Olson, who scored 29 points at Whitman on Tuesday, added five steals.

The Cardinals built a comfortable early lead, then held on for the road win.

The win was preserved when Kenyawna Hudgens blocked a Ricks shot as time expired.

Anna Getz led the Cardinals with 19 points. Angie Lewis, Kammi Cottrell and Erin Torpey scored 12 each.

North Idaho led 18-4 before settling for a 37-30 halftime lead.
