Cannons Open Tourney With Win

Seth Gemar pitched a four-hit shutout Friday as the Spokane Cannons defeated the Silver Lanes Bandits 7-0 in the Fourth of July baseball tournament at Al K. Jackson Field.

The Cannons’ Matt Risley was 2 for 4, including a double, and three runs batted in.

Kenny Florence was 2 for 3 with two singles for the Bandits.

Eric Wiberg got the loss and Gemar earned the win.
