Two Charged In Valley Car Thefts

Two California residents are accused of stealing half a dozen vehicles in the Valley.

Tere A. Riley, 27, and Jose E. Miranda, 18, both of California, were charged with second-degree theft, said Sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan.

All the vehicles were taken from various locations around the Valley, stripped of their stereos and abandoned near where the two were staying at an apartment at Argonne and Sprague, Reagan said. One car also had its wheels stolen.

Deputies lifted partial fingerprints from one of the vehicles. Deputies will continue investigating the thefts, and possession of stolen property charges might be added, Reagan said.
