Police Raid Two Homes, Find Two Meth Labs

Spokane police raided two north Spokane homes Wednesday and found methamphetamine labs in both places, authorities said.

At one house, 3613 East Olympic, SWAT team officers encountered a dog, which was shot and killed, police said.

Ten people were in the home at the time of the raid.

Donald R. Estes, 41, and Nora E. Estes, 38, were booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance.

Officers discovered a meth lab in a metal building behind the home. It was not in operation during the 9:30 a.m. raid, police said.

Police hit a second home, 213 North Stone, at 10:20 a.m. and found components of a meth lab, authorities said.

A man, woman and 4-year-old were inside, police said. The adults were identified as Larry J. Price Jr., 25, and Shannon L. Karlinsey, whose age was unavailable.

Price was booked into jail on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance. Karlinsey was booked on charges of allowing use of a building for manufacturing a controlled substance, police said.
