‘Fishing In Oregon’ In 9Th Edition; Packed With Great Information

An angler could spend a decade scouting fishing waters and weeks on the Internet and still not have a fraction of the fishing information contained in the latest edition of a classic Oregon guidebook.

“Fishing in Oregon,” the ninth edition, is a pearl in the sea of angling guides. It covers more than 1,200 lakes, streams and bays.

It’s as useful to fly fishers as it is to anglers who cast bait. With 36 additional maps, fishing opportunities are as easy to peg as boat launches on many freshwater streams and lakes.

Since author Madelynne Diness Sheehan purchased the copyright of the venerable Hennings Guide in 1984, she has expanded and updated the book to keep pace with fishery changes.

The book details access to popular as well as remote waters and gives tips on how to fish for the various species they afford.

In the five years since the last update, the author has interviewed field biologists, local experts, and of course, fished many of the waters herself to revise the book and boost it from 280 to 358 pages.
