Lake Roosevelt Recreation Area

Kick the Jet Ski habit and check out one of the coolest boating bargains on Lake Roosevelt. National Park Service rangers lead free guided canoe trips - lifejackets, canoes and paddles provided - on certain mornings and evenings during summer.

For example, a nifty two-hour trip heads out from the Kettle Falls Visitor Center into the mouth of the Colville River this morning at 11.

Staffers at Fort Spokane lead trips along Hawk Creek and Spring Canyon Campground trips venture into Crescent Bay.

The paddle trips are offered along with hikes and campfire programs near the lake’s major campgrounds. Check ahead for dates and times. Canoes are available on a first come, first served basis.
