All county courthouse offices will be open Monday through Friday, but not until the week of July 31. That means people who want to run for public office still have a filing deadline of July 27. Bonner County Sandpoint

State Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, has been working with Idaho’s congressional delegation to come up with a way to make sure any north Idahoan missed in the initial census count will be included. Census results affect federal funding for programs. “If we are undercounted, then we will be underfunded,” Keough said.
