One Dead, One Hurt In 2-Car Collision

A 54-year-old Spokane man was killed and two others were injured in a two-car collision Thursday in west Spokane County.

William H. George was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol. George was traveling northbound on Spotted Road in a 1985 Chevrolet four-door around noon, according to the WSP. Joshua D. Ramage, 19, and his passenger, Tryson Nicholson, 20, both of Spokane, were traveling eastbound on Highway 2 in a 1998 Ford pickup.

The vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the WSP. Ramage and Nicholson were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center with possible neck injuries. Ramage was wearing a seat belt, according to the WSP. It wasn’t known if George or Nicholson were wearing seat belts.

The collision remains under investigation.
