New faces:

Christopher Kopsho has joined Acme Materials & Construction Co. as a dispatcher/coordinator of distribution. He is responsible for the delivery of concrete and aggregate products at Acme’s Spokane facility. He previously spent 10 years in sales and dispatching.

Holy Family Hospital has hired Cheryl Saxby as materials operation manager. She previously worked as a buyer in the Purchasing Department at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She has several years of experience in purchasing and inventory management.

Cynthia Henrikson has been named administrator of “The Cottage” for Guardian Angel Homes Assisted Living Facilities, 1050 E. Mullan in Post Falls. Henrikson earned a bachelor’s degree in music education and worked in that field for several years in the Coeur d’Alene area. Her background also includes stints as an activities director in a nursing home and five years as habilitation supervisor at an intermediate care facility for the mentally handicapped.

Shriners Hospitals for Children-Spokane has added the following people to its staff:

Odetta A. Curtis was named human resources manager. Curtis previously was manager of human resources at Spokane Mental Health for eight years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in human resources from Eastern Washington University.

Kory M. Barr was hired as a physical therapist for the hospital’s Motion Analysis Lab. Barr previously was a physical therapist at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master’s degree in physical therapy from UNMC.

Moving up:

Greg Conley has been named vice president and district manager for the Eastern Washington Commercial Real Estate Division of U.S. Bank. He oversees commercial real estate lending in Eastern Washington and North Idaho from his Spokane office. Conley has 20 years of banking experience, including 17 years at U.S. Bank. Most recently, he was vice president and corporate banking relationship manager. Conley earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Eastern Washington University, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. has promoted Geoffrey A. Burns to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Burns joined Coeur last year as vice president and chief financial officer from Prime Resources Group Inc. and Homestake Canada Inc., where he was chief financial officer and controller. He has more than 20 years of industry and financial experience including equity and debt financings, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and an MBA from York University in Toronto, Ontario.

Mike Varang has been promoted to sales representative at Acme Materials & Construction Co.’s Spokane Readymix/Sand and Gravel Division. He joined Acme in 1993 as a dispatcher. He will focus on developing relationships with customers throughout the region.

Steven B. Moore has been promoted to inpatient nurse manager at Shriners Hospitals for ChildrenSpokane. He previously was a team leader for the evening nursing shift at Shriners. Moore received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Whitworth College and Eastern Washington University.

New identity:

QualMed Washington Health Plan has changed its name to Molina Healthcare of Washington Inc. The new name represents the final stage of QualMed’s complete integration as a subsidiary of Molina Healthcare Inc., of Long Beach, Calif. Molina Healthcare assumed control of the health plan license and QualMed’s Healthy Options and Basic Health Plan operations in January. Molina’s Healthy Options line of business covers the Seattle metro area, as well as Spokane, Yakima, Tri-Cities and north central Washington. Molina also participates with the Basic Health Plan in Spokane and Lincoln counties, and maintains offices in Spokane and Bellevue.

Kudos:

Dan Horton of Wendle Ford has achieved master technician status with Ford Motor Co. The rating is the highest awarded by Ford.

Spokane-based Telect Inc. and Lydig Construction Inc. have been ranked among the 20 fastest-growing companies in the state by Washington CEO magazine. Telect was fifth on the list with a compound annual growth rate of 37.06 percent. Lydig finished sixth with a 34.55 percent growth rate.

Jan Quintrall, president of Better Business Bureau of the Inland Northwest, has been chosen to serve on the Board of Council of Better Business Bureaus. She will begin a three-year term in September.
