Jurassic 5 definitely has forged its own path in the world of rap.

Creating a sound much like The Roots, Jurassic 5 has developed an original style. The group’s ultimate goal is a brand new kind of hip hop.

Jurassic 5’s much-anticipated release, “Quality Control,” is a fresh break from the mainstream, gang-banging rap that currently controls the airwaves.

This freshman release merges the sounds of jazzy beats and smooth bass grooves. Their first single, “Improvise,” is a perfect example. It combines the stylings of four emcees with eloquent verbal skills, followed by the skilled beats of two talented DJs. The group’s DJs go so far as to finish out the album with swing music.

Overall, the album is a well-produced masterpiece that will draw fans from several musical genres. It’s a must-have for music lovers and worth every penny of its price.
