Ineel Gets Environmental Award

An Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory management program has been recognized by the National Association of Environmental Professionals.

The INEEL received one of three top environmental management awards at a recent conference in Portland, Maine.

Within the Department of Energy, the program is responsible for cleaning up the radioactive, chemical and other hazardous wastes.

Awards were given in a variety of categories ranging from environmental stewardship to education, and public involvement and partnership.
