More ‘Eyes’ Needed

Volunteers willing keep their eyes open for poaching, vandalism and other illegal activity while they’re enjoying the great outdoors are invited to a training course this month.
The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council is sponsoring two training sessions for Eyes in the Woods, Aug. 16 and Aug. 25.
The program teaches citizens what to do and what not to do in order to assist wildlife enforcement agents crack down on poachers and vandals. The course also discusses assisting at game check stations, mentoring and working with biologists.
The public is welcome, said Jamey Layman, council spokesman. Both sessions begin at 7 p.m. at 6116 N. Market. Info: 487-8552.
