Foster Home Workshop Scheduled

What is it like to be a foster parent? A panel of women and men who have opened their homes to children needing temporary placement will answer that question at a public forum today in Spokane. More than 200 foster homes are needed in Spokane County to fill the current demand; approximately 70 children are placed in foster care each month in the county. “Got Room for One More?” is the theme of the workshop sponsored by the Washington Division of Children and Family Services.

The workshop will be at the agency’s offices, 1313 N. Atlantic, Suite 2000, starting at noon. Foster parents and adults who benefited from foster care when they were children will be among the speakers. For more information, call 363-3320.
