NEW FACES:

Tom Frasher has joined the Tax Department of LeMaster & Daniels PLLC as a staff accountant. Frasher earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.

First American Title Co. of Coeur d’Alene has hired Valarie Gill as a business development representative. She will focus on developing business relationships with clients in the real estate sales and lending markets. Gill has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate, sales and marketing and insurance industries.

Gabe Gallinger has joined Taylor Engineering Inc. and is working on projects for Agilent Technologies, the George Gee auto dealership, Arcadia Park Plaza and Pinecroft Business Park. Gallinger received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Washington State University. He previously worked for the Washington state Department of Transportation and for a consulting engineering firm in Wilsonville, Ore.

MOVING UP:

Rick Shauvin has been appointed vice president of the Spokane office of Marsh Inc. Shauvin, who joined Marsh 10 years ago, specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance.

Lioninc.com, a provider of online business-to-business products and services in the mortgage industry, has promoted the following employees:

Stephen Hitt was named eastern regional sales manager.

Howard Walters was promoted to western region sales manager.

Tom Priel was named central region sales manager.

Each was formerly a sales representative with the company.

Darin Moore, an employee of Taylor Engineering Inc. since 1989, has obtained a Washington state professional license in the field of civil engineering. Since graduating from Washington State University in 1995, he has worked on a variety of public and private projects.

KUDOS:

The Inland Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners has been selected as the Outstanding New Chapter for 2000. The chapter will be honored at the national organization’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on June 16. The chapter will send a seven-member delegation to the meeting.

Desautel Hege Communications captured the top prize - the Dussault Award - among awards presented by the Spokane Public Relations Council. Desautel Hege won for a communications program entitled “Health for All.” The project focused on educating state residents about the ability to qualify for public health insurance.
