Man Strips, Attacks Car And Restaurant

A man was arrested after he stripped naked in the middle of a downtown street, attacked a driver and then jumped at the front windows of a restaurant, police say.

The man, 27, was arrested Friday and taken to the Regional Justice Center on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, a Tukwila police spokeswoman said.

Authorities were called after the man was seen walking down the middle of the street around 10:15 a.m., “acting bizarre” and jumping on cars, Tukwila Fire Department spokeswoman Sally Blake said.

With no apparent provocation, the man suddenly tore off his clothes - “everything,” Blake said - tossed his wallet into some bushes and attacked a car at an intersection. He broke the driver’s side window and mauled the driver, causing minor injuries.

After grappling with the driver, the naked man flung himself at the front windows of a Jack in the Box restaurant which was open and serving food.
