Kaiser Incident Investigated

A Kaiser replacement worker who had just quit his job tossed two vials filled with an unknown liquid at striking Steelworkers early Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called to the Kaiser Trentwood plant about 7 a.m. and hosed down the area where the vials landed. No Steelworkers were hurt.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the car has been identified but not located as of Monday evening.

Pieces of the glass vials are being sent to a laboratory for examination.
