Police Investigating Spokane Man’S Death

From Staff Reports

Spokane Police here are investigating what they’re calling the suspicious death of a man who lived in the West Central neighborhood.

The dead man’s former roommate said he returned to the house at 1927 W. Carlisle about 3 p.m. Saturday to find 49-year-old Royce Frank lying on the family room floor.

The roommate, who asked to remain anonymous, said he and a female roommate moved from the house last week. He came back Saturday to get some belongings and found Frank’s body, which showed no visible signs of trauma, he said.

The house had been ransacked, and several pieces of stereo equipment were missing, he said.

“This was not the way her or I kept house,” the man said, surveying the items on the floor of the small house.
