Police Seeking Yates’ Rv
Homicide Task Force detectives continue to search for a motor home owned by serial killer suspect Robert Yates after a vehicle found last week turned out to be the wrong one, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to recovery of the missing RV.
Yates faces eight charges of first-degree murder and one of attempted murder.
Investigators believe Yates owned the RV from January to late March 1999. The Sheriff’s Office said Yates may have sold or traded it to someone who had it towed to a lake north of Spokane.
According to investigators, the vehicle is a 28-foot, Class C, cab-over design, which at one time was white or light tan. It may have had horizontal stripes on the sides. The RV may have had a brown interior. The motor home had dual rear wheels and may have had a cracked rear window.
Anyone with information regarding the vehicle can call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Callers can use a code name or number if they wish to remain anonymous. People can also call the Crime Check number, 456-2233.
