We are thankful for Balboa experience

Our family is moving to Seattle soon. We wanted, however, to compliment our daughter’s school before we left.

Maja has attended Balboa Elementary School from kindergarten to 3rd grade. She has had several wonderful teachers: Mrs. Aspaas, Ms. Banicki and Mrs. Karim.

As a volunteer in their classrooms, I was always welcomed and felt like we were one big family. The support staff, especially the Principal Lou Haymond and secretary LaRee Hanson, were warm, friendly and professional.

We’d also like to thank Mrs. Poffenroth (PE teacher) and Mrs. Cantlon (music teacher). All these great people contributed to our daughter’s beginning education and deserve recognition.

So often you read negative comments about our schools, but there are lots of caring people, and we were lucky enough to be involved with them at Balboa. Anita Endrezze and John Hansen Spokane
