Stolen Truck Had Bad Light

A man who had been pulled over for a burned-out headlight was charged with posession of stolen property after a deputy discovered the pickup truck he was driving had been stolen.

James S. O’Daniel, 37, 4727 E. Third, was arrested on East Sprague Avenue in the early morning hours Monday.

After initiating the traffic stop, the deputy noticed the ignition in the 1971 Chevrolet pickup had been punched out. The driver was unable to produce keys to the truck or any paperwork proving ownership.

The pickup had been reported stolen a month earlier from Vic’s Auto Sales on South Dishman Road.
