Ex-Ewu Stars In TV Matchup
Former Eastern Wash- ington University All-Americans Jeff Ogden and Bashir Levingston will be on opposite sides when the Rhein Fire play the Amsterdam Admirals at 10 a.m. Sunday in an NFL Europe game on Fox’s KAYU channel 28.
Ogden’s Rhein team is 6-3 and will play the Scotland Claymores in the World Bowl on June 25 in Frankfurt. Levingston’s Admirals are 4-5.
Levingston leads the league in kickoff returns, with a 28.1-yard average, and punt returns (13.3 average). He also has 23 tackles and a team-high 10 passes broken up.
Ogden is third in the league in receiving, with 44 catches for 635 yards and seven touchdowns.
Baseball
Nick Scott went 3 for 5 with four runs batted in, and Kevin Joslyn struck out eight in 6-1/3 innings to lead the U-18 Spokane Heat to a 13-5 win over host Wilkenson Academy in an opener of the Curtis Classic in Walla Walla.
