Nature Conservancy Names New Director
A well-known name in Oregon conservation circles is the new director of The Nature Conservancy of Idaho. Geoff Pampush, currently the executive director of Oregon Trout, starts work with the conservancy in mid-August. Pampush worked for The Nature Conservancy before becoming Oregon Trout’s director in 1991. He also served as conservation chair under Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber.
The Nature Conservancy manages 200,000 acres in Idaho, including several properties in the Panhandle such as the Cougar Bay Preserve. Pampush attended a dedication ceremony at the bay over the weekend.
